Overview
The Aluminum Welder is responsible for setting up and operating welding equipment to assemble trailers, hoists, and fabricated parts according to specifications. This role also supports continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives within the company.
Responsibilities
- Maintain prompt and reliable attendance to meet customer production needs.
- Perform basic math calculations for measuring, assembling, and troubleshooting.
- Set up and adjust welding equipment as needed.
- Read and interpret complex instructions, blueprints, and measuring devices.
- Work collaboratively with coworkers and other departments to support company goals.
- Learn and operate multiple machines or jigs within the assigned job area.
- Rotate between tasks or stations as required to support production schedules.
- Maintain a steady and efficient work pace while meeting quality and production standards.
- Work overtime when required to meet customer demand.
- Follow all safety procedures, including wearing required PPE and reporting hazards.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of continuous welding experience, preferably with aluminum or steel.
- Ability to use various measuring tools.
- Ability to read blueprints and technical manuals.
- Strong time management skills.
- Ability to communicate in English.
Additional Information
- Must be able to work between 6:00 AM and 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday.
- Occasional Saturdays may be required to meet production needs.
