Overview

Cox Fleet, headquartered in Indianapolis, is one of the largest fleet maintenance companies in the country, providing on-site mobile maintenance and repair services for light, medium, and heavy-duty trucks and trailers. They are currently hiring a Light/Medium Duty Forklift Technician to perform maintenance and repairs at customer locations.

Responsibilities

• Travel to and perform work at customer locations, primarily outdoors.
• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance (PM) and DOT inspections on light and medium vehicles.
• Conduct routine maintenance such as oil changes, battery checks, and equipment lubrication.
• Use hand tools and precision instruments for repairs and diagnostics.
• Diagnose and repair various vehicle systems including electrical, brake, cooling, and engine systems.
• Inspect and test defective equipment to diagnose malfunctions.
• Order and pick up parts required for repairs.
• Document work performed and findings according to company standards.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Communicate with the support team for repair approvals and documentation.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Unexpired Forklift Certification required.
• Possess a set of hand tools necessary for job duties.
• Minimum of one year of experience as a Forklift Technician or equivalent.
• Two years of equivalent experience in a similar Technician role.

Additional Information

• Travel is required 100% of the time.
• Rotating schedule of Mon-Fri the first week and Mon-Sat the second week.
• This is a Flag Rate Position with abundant work available.
