Overview

Austin Industrial is a leading provider of maintenance, construction, and soft craft services to industrial companies across the U.S. The Pipefitter Helper will assist in laying out, assembling, installing, and maintaining pipe systems and related equipment.

Responsibilities

• Assist pipefitters and pipe fabricators in laying out, assembling, installing, and maintaining pipe systems.
• Cut, thread, and hammer pipe to specifications using various tools.
• Drill holes in walls to permit passage of pipes.
• Select specific types and sizes of pipe.
• Mount pipe hangers and brackets to hold pipes.
• Assist in installing valves, couplings, and other fittings.
• Disassemble and remove damaged or worn pipe.

Requirements

• No minimum education requirements.
• 1 year of experience in an industrial setting preferred.
• A valid TWIC Card and Driver’s License.
