Overview

The Hole Watch / Equipment Rental Tech position involves working under the direction of management to inspect, test, and service industrial equipment safely and effectively. The role is essential for maintaining equipment standards and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Maintain work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.
• Ensure equipment is maintained according to company and manufacturer standards before delivery to customers.
• Complete all documentation and data entry associated with inspection and repair accurately and timely.
• Perform atmospheric testing of equipment interiors to ensure safe working conditions.
• Enter confined spaces and comply with all confined space entry processes and procedures.
• Perform minor equipment repairs, including some welding.
• Operate forklifts and yard mules to mobilize equipment around the facility.
• Maintain professionalism while interacting with external customers and vendors.
• Contribute to team goals through effective communication and workload prioritization.
• Troubleshoot and resolve equipment-related problems.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Valid Driver’s License is required.
• Current, valid TWIC card or ability to obtain one.
• Ability to access local refineries and petrochemical plants.
• Basic Plus certification or willingness to undergo and pass the Basic Plus examination.
• Ability to read, write, and comprehend operational and safety documents.
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Understanding of hazardous chemicals and ability to read safety data sheets.
• Willingness to provide input on working practices.
• Confidence to inform colleagues of unsafe practices.
• Positive attitude.
