Overview

The Field Maintenance Technician will maintain modular equipment in the field at customer sites, performing troubleshooting and maintenance for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems. The role includes routine maintenance and construction in modular buildings while ensuring exceptional customer experiences.

Responsibilities

• Perform troubleshooting, maintenance service, repairs and construction in plumbing, carpentry, painting, plastering, flooring, ceiling and electrical.
• Perform maintenance and service repairs on heating, ventilating, and air conditioning systems.
• Install new HVAC units or replacement parts according to specifications and safety guidelines.
• Ensure safety, quality, and productivity at customer locations.
• Maintain positive customer interface and improve the company's reputation with every contact.
• Maintain inspection logs for equipment/vehicle and report exceptions.
• Safely perform all tasks and understand company safety policies.
• Deliver high quality output consistent with construction standards.
• Operate company vehicle with GPS and cameras.
• Read and understand blueprints, schematics, and work orders.
• Work outside in variable weather conditions.
• Use both manual and power tools following operating guidelines.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of prior experience in construction, maintenance or related work.
• Ability to communicate with customers regarding work status and service concerns.
• Must be able to do local travel daily in company truck.
• May be required to drive extended distances to customer sites.
• Able to do occasional overnight travel to jobsites out of state.
• TWIC card or ability to obtain one.
• Valid driver's license.

Additional Information

• Position requires manual dexterity and physical activity for most of the day.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and perform various manual labor activities.
