Overview
Vulcan Materials Company is the nation’s largest producer of construction aggregates and a major producer of aggregates-based construction materials. The Plant Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining site reliability through inspections, troubleshooting, and routine maintenance.
Responsibilities
- Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols, including wearing appropriate PPE.
- Maintain a high level of situational awareness to prevent accidents.
- Report any safety concerns, incidents, or equipment malfunctions promptly.
- Follow a preventative maintenance schedule for equipment.
- Inspect and replace key components crucial for maintaining efficient plant operations.
- Troubleshoot the root cause of simple issues quickly and efficiently.
- Monitor equipment performance to ensure it is operating at full capacity.
- Review and update equipment logs to identify patterns in maintenance needs.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in operations, preferably within the aggregate industry.
- Valid Driver's License.
- Strong understanding of safety protocols and MSHA/OSHA regulations.
- Proficiency in conducting thorough inspections of all site areas.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve basic PM and maintenance issues.
- Knowledge of component replacement and its impact on plant performance.
