Overview

Vulcan Materials Company is the nation’s largest producer of construction aggregates and a major producer of aggregates-based construction materials. The Plant Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining site reliability through inspections, troubleshooting, and routine maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols, including wearing appropriate PPE.
• Maintain a high level of situational awareness to prevent accidents.
• Report any safety concerns, incidents, or equipment malfunctions promptly.
• Follow a preventative maintenance schedule for equipment.
• Inspect and replace key components crucial for maintaining efficient plant operations.
• Troubleshoot the root cause of simple issues quickly and efficiently.
• Monitor equipment performance to ensure it is operating at full capacity.
• Review and update equipment logs to identify patterns in maintenance needs.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in operations, preferably within the aggregate industry.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Strong understanding of safety protocols and MSHA/OSHA regulations.
• Proficiency in conducting thorough inspections of all site areas.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve basic PM and maintenance issues.
• Knowledge of component replacement and its impact on plant performance.
