Overview
We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated Maintenance/ Engineer to join our team! The position involves performing work across multiple maintenance craft occupations to ensure the functionality and aesthetics of the facility.
Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance on machines, mechanical equipment, and electrical systems.
- Repair leaks, unclog drains, and address plumbing issues.
- Maintain water distribution and sewage systems.
- Assist with carpentry tasks, including repairing doors, windows, and furniture.
- Help with painting projects to maintain facility aesthetics.
- Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests.
- Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance.
- Perform HVAC system maintenance including filter replacement and minor repairs.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical components.
- Identify and repair hazardous equipment or areas.
- Use tools and equipment for repairs and maintenance.
- Answer and respond to service calls.
- Complete additional duties as assigned by the Facilities Manager/Supervisor.
Requirements
- High school diploma, G.E.D, or equivalent.
- At least 2-3 years of experience in facility maintenance or a related field.
- Proficiency in using hand and power tools.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of safety procedures.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand, walk, and use hands regularly.
- Able to reach, climb, stoop, kneel, and talk or hear frequently.
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision and color vision.
Additional Information
- Must be able to pass mandatory screening including a background check and drug test.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Available for full-time work which may include weekends and evening scheduling.
- Able to work varied shifts and flexible schedules.
- Able to communicate clearly with team members.
- Requires strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task effectively.
- Able to work independently and within a team environment.
