Overview
The Assembler II - Valves 2nd Shift is responsible for performing assembly processes to manufacture Crane Aerospace & Electronics products according to various standards. This role requires close supervision and involves tasks such as preparing components, testing assemblies, and operating machinery.
Responsibilities
- Perform assigned assembly tasks for subassemblies or completed assemblies.
- Prepare components prior to assembly, including cleaning, marking, and inspecting.
- Test finished assemblies.
- Operate assigned equipment and machinery such as Die Attach Machine and Wire Bonder.
- Observe proper health and safety procedures when handling hazardous chemicals.
- Identify and report any difficulties affecting work quality to lead or supervisor.
- Participate in cleaning of area and machinery and attend team meetings for improvement.
- Practice safe work habits as established by OSHA and company policy.
- Cross-train to work on at least one process within the cell.
- Complete job-related company training courses.
- Support Crane Business System initiatives including 5S and Standard Work.
- Be flexible and willing to work overtime if necessary.
- Perform operation of a Microscope for up to 8 hours a day.
Requirements
- 2-5 years of Small Component Assembly experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, and quality control.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in reading comprehension of the English language.
- Basic computer skills.
- Accurate color vision, near vision, and depth perception.
- Manipulative skills including finger and manual dexterity.
- Ability to interpret production or engineering prints and assembly aids.
- Ability to work well in a moderate to high paced work environment.
- High School diploma or equivalent.

Additional Information
- This is a 2nd shift position from 2:00pm - 10:30pm.
- Working conditions may include a Class 7 or 8 Cleanroom.
- Up to 8 hours of Microscope work daily.
- Manufacturing operations may require the use of safety equipment.
