Overview
The Heico Companies, a privately held organization with over 40 years of success and a diverse portfolio, is seeking a Maintenance Electrician for US Wire Group. This role involves the assembly, troubleshooting, and repair of mechanical and electrical systems within a manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Support company maintenance requirements for machinery, facility, and safety initiatives.
- Maintain proper preventative maintenance schedules and documentation for all shop equipment.
- Support building system maintenance such as machine shop, compressors, tooling, and generators.
- Upgrade, repair, and replace machinery parts and components as needed.
- Oversee machinery to ensure optimal working condition.
- Support overall company electrical maintenance requirements for machinery and facility upkeep.
- Maintain electrical support for equipment in the machine shop.
- Assist mechanical assembly with troubleshooting of equipment breakdown and repair.
- Ensure compliance with safety codes in building electrical support.
- Maintain building wiring inspection and electrical safety records as required by OSHA.
- Work independently on maintenance repair, electrical repair, and installation.
- Operate machine shop equipment to make repair parts.
- Use electrical instruments to diagnose electrical problems.
- Perform various repairs to shop equipment and general carpentry.
- Maintain and repair water, oil, steam, air, and gas lines.
- Maintain required housekeeping of work area and observe all safety rules.
- Perform other tasks and duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 2 years experience in the manufacturing sector.
- Basic understanding of production and machine operation.
- Ability to use tools and precision equipment.
- Excellent attendance and work record.
- Experience in machine operation.
- Ability to work and communicate well in a team environment.
- Ability to work in cold and hot temperatures.
- 3 years of experience in the electrical machine building field.
- Knowledge of 110V, 230V, 480V, and 24V DC.
- Thorough knowledge of electrical/electronic components and equipment.
- Experience using voltmeter, hand tools, hand crimpers, screwdrivers, wrenches, and pliers.
- Comfortable lifting up to 50lbs, bending, stooping, standing, and climbing up to 10ft.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Strong attention to safety.
