Job Description

Overview

The Gill Corporation is one of the world's largest manufacturers of honeycomb, high performance floor panels, and cargo compartment liners for aircraft. They are seeking a Fabrication Assembler with production assembly experience and a strong attention to detail to assist in various day-to-day activities within the fabrication department.

Responsibilities

  • Finish detailed panel assembly and liners.
  • Use specifications, blueprints, mylar, and work orders.
  • Deburr and clean insert drill holes prior to insert installation.
  • Apply adhesive to plugs/sleeves and panels prior to installation.
  • Prepare panel assemblies for edge fill operation.
  • Mix and apply adhesive to the undercut/edge of panels.
  • Hand route detailed liners using a pneumatic hand router.
  • Record all material and log information on work orders and in SAP software.
  • Perform other essential duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • 1 - 3 years of assembly or manufacturing experience.
  • Ability to read and use blueprints and work orders.
  • Basic computer skills and knowledge.
  • Experience in aircraft manufacturing is a plus.
  • Construction, carpentry, and forklift experience is a plus.
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalency is required.
  • English reading and verbal communication skills sufficient to understand company procedures.
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull a minimum of 50 lbs.
  • Demonstrate math proficiency equal to or greater than required for the position.
  • Availability to work specified shift and flexibility for potential overtime.

Additional Information

  • 1st Shift 5:30am - 2:00pm, including OT and Saturdays.
  • Certain positions may require the ability to obtain and maintain a DOD Secret Clearance.
  • This position requires compliance with ITAR and/or EAR.
