Overview

Lime is a global leader in micromobility, focused on building a future of shared, affordable, and carbon-free transportation. They are seeking In-Field Mechanics to maintain their fleet of shared vehicles, ideal for mechanically-inclined operations professionals looking to expand their career experiences.

Responsibilities

• Ensure operational compliance of fleet and complete quality checks for deployment.
• Perform basic maintenance in and out of the warehouse.
• Follow established safety procedures to ensure Lime riders are on the safest vehicles.
• Support battery management operations by ensuring accurate documentation and quality checks are completed.
• Maintain and abide by safety and hygiene standards within the warehouse.
• Maximize the number of operational vehicles by efficiently completing tasks assigned.
• Safely operate a pallet jack or push cart on a frequent basis.
• Identify issues and perform small repairs in the field on vehicles including brake adjustments, tire inflation, and vehicle cleaning.
• Manage parts inventories including PAR levels and demand forecast.
• Monitor designated zones by conducting on-foot patrols of the local area to ensure vehicle parking compliance.
• Detect and report uncommon situations related to on the ground service and product.
• Occasionally assist customers in the field by providing support related to Lime vehicles.
• Safely operate a van to assist with the deployment and retrieval of Lime electric vehicles.
• Safely operate a bike, cargo bike, or e-scooter to assist with the deployment and retrieval of Lime electric vehicles.
• Perform additional job-related tasks as assigned.

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years of age with a valid driver license and good driving record.
• Previous experience in a similar role involving vehicle maintenance preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 65lbs / 35 kg on a frequent basis required.
• Knowledge of cell phone applications; iOS experience preferred.
• Ability to work various shifts including evenings and weekends.
• Experience safely operating a pallet jack or push cart.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to perform quick and efficient repairs.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage daily tasks.
• A safety-oriented mindset capable of conducting rigorous quality checks.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact with team members.
• Adaptability to work outdoors and indoors in line with company needs and objectives.
• Ability to safely ride a bike and other Lime vehicles.
