Overview
The Repair Technician will assemble, test, troubleshoot, and modify prototype and production equipment or custom assembly systems. This role requires the ability to perform procedures without supervision while adhering to quality and assembly standards.
Responsibilities
- Receive customer returns and match incoming documents with issued RMA forms.
- Perform repairs and updates to upgrade units to current revision.
- Participate in self-development and training of others.
- Maintain work area in a clean and responsible fashion.
- Understand wiring diagrams, process sheets, and assembly and schematic drawings.
- Assemble instruments and components in accordance with SOPs, Bill of materials, and drawings.
- Examine parts for defects when requested.
- Test units to locate defects, measure performance, determine need for adjustment, and verify specified operation.
- Replace defective components when required.
- Calibrate units according to specifications as required.
- Enter information on repair records, logs, and other report forms.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED; or 2-3 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to work with Windows and Database Tracking Programs (Excel and Word).
- Must be able to learn quickly on various assembly, disassembly, and testing stations.
- Demonstrate mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Close and color vision to distinguish markings.
- Ability to walk, stand, sit, and kneel to perform the role.
