Overview

The Pipefitter III position is responsible for the installation, repair, troubleshooting, and maintenance of all PVSC process piping, valves, plumbing equipment, and components throughout the plant. Responsibilities

• Install, repair, troubleshoot, and maintain PVSC process piping.
• Work on valves and plumbing equipment throughout the plant.

Requirements

• Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in plumbing and the pipefitter trade.
• High school diploma, vocational school diploma, or equivalency certificate required.
• Advanced education at a trade school is desirable and may be accepted as equivalent to one (1) year of work experience.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English sufficiently to perform the duties of this position.
• Thorough knowledge of basic maintenance shop practices and safety precautions during maintenance and repair.
• Knowledgeable of mechanical work, rigging, and standard plumbing practices.
• Ability to compare and recognize differences in the size, shape, and form of lines, figures, and objects.
• Ability to read and understand plans, schematics, isometrics, arrangement drawings, details, specifications, assembly manuals, and/or blueprints.
• Must be available for emergencies and/or job assignments on a 24-hour basis.

• Workers are employed in conditions associated with a wastewater treatment plant and sewer collection system.
• Must qualify for and possess the ability to perform entry into confined spaces while wearing proper PPE.
