Overview
The Pipefitter III position is responsible for the installation, repair, troubleshooting, and maintenance of all PVSC process piping, valves, plumbing equipment, and components throughout the plant. Responsibilities
- Install, repair, troubleshoot, and maintain PVSC process piping.
- Work on valves and plumbing equipment throughout the plant.
Requirements
- Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in plumbing and the pipefitter trade.
- High school diploma, vocational school diploma, or equivalency certificate required.
- Advanced education at a trade school is desirable and may be accepted as equivalent to one (1) year of work experience.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English sufficiently to perform the duties of this position.
- Thorough knowledge of basic maintenance shop practices and safety precautions during maintenance and repair.
- Knowledgeable of mechanical work, rigging, and standard plumbing practices.
- Ability to compare and recognize differences in the size, shape, and form of lines, figures, and objects.
- Ability to read and understand plans, schematics, isometrics, arrangement drawings, details, specifications, assembly manuals, and/or blueprints.
- Must be available for emergencies and/or job assignments on a 24-hour basis.

Additional Information
- Workers are employed in conditions associated with a wastewater treatment plant and sewer collection system.
- Must qualify for and possess the ability to perform entry into confined spaces while wearing proper PPE.
