Overview

TE Wire & Cable LLC, part of the global industrial organization Marmon Holdings backed by Berkshire Hathaway, is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Cable Harness Assembler to join their team. The role involves assembling, testing, and installing harnesses in an aerospace manufacturing environment, ensuring quality and adherence to engineering specifications.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and install electrical components, wiring, and harnesses according to engineering drawings and specifications.
• Use manual and powered tools to perform delicate tasks such as stripping, crimping, soldering, and connector assembly.
• Conduct testing such as electrical continuity and HI POT testing on cable harness assemblies to ensure quality and compliance.
• Read and interpret engineering documentation, including drawings and wiring diagrams.
• Inspect, verify, and document each step of the assembly process to ensure quality standards.
• Communicate problems or concerns to help improve the manufacturing process.
• Confirm all materials needed to complete a job are with the work order and print labels for each work order.
• Utilize Lean and Continuous Improvement techniques to drive quality and productivity.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in electrical assembly or related field preferred.
• 2 years of experience with wire harness assembly and ability to read wire harness installation drawings/wiring diagrams/work instructions.
• Experience with IPC/WHMA-A-620 and IPC J-STD-001 desired.
