Overview
A Technician performs the assembly, testing, and verification of advanced fluid-control components for Aerospace, Nuclear and other applications. This role is ideal for a hands-on technician who thrives in a precision manufacturing environment and enjoys working with complex electro-mechanical systems.
Responsibilities
- Perform assembly and performance testing of mechanical and/or electro-mechanical fluid-control devices in accordance with engineering procedures, blueprints, and schematics.
- Operate, maintain, and help develop high-pressure test systems, including pneumatic, hydraulic, and calibration-fluid test stands and pumps.
- Conduct electrical testing and verification using a variety of electronic diagnostic tools.
- Work within controlled clean-room environments and conduct particulate analysis with accurate data collection.
- Troubleshoot, repair, and validate hardware using systematic diagnostic methods.
- Utilize oscilloscopes, and other diagnostic equipment to support testing and analysis.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
- Lift and move equipment or components up to 50 lbs as needed.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of technical or mechanical maintenance experience.
- Experience using various hand and measurement tools including but not limited to torque wrenches, height gauges, and calipers.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical procedures.
- Proven experience assembling and testing electro-mechanical hardware.
- Hands-on experience with high-pressure fluid, gas, and cryogenic testing.
- Proficiency in electrical testing, including dielectric and insulation-resistance testing.
- Strong computer literacy, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Experience working in clean-room environments.
- Manufacturing or machining experience is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and repair hardware using diagnostic tools.
