Overview
The [UNION] Mechanic is responsible for the efficient operation and maintenance of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems at the assigned property. This role includes performing preventive and corrective maintenance while ensuring a clean and safe working environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance and repairs to all mechanical equipment and systems.
- Conduct building tours, maintain equipment loss, and report deficiencies for corrective action.
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and perform necessary repairs on HVAC equipment as part of the preventive maintenance program.
- Adhere to established HVAC work order preventive maintenance schedule.
- Be proficient in the functionality of the BMS/EMS for proper building operations.
- Respond immediately to emergency situations and customer service requests.
- Review, create, and maintain assigned work orders within the maintenance management system.
- Assist with troubleshooting and repairs of plumbing systems, kitchen equipment, roofs, drains, and shop equipment.
- Perform repairs to plumbing fixtures including water closets and lavatories.
- Complete work in accordance with C&W Standard Operating Procedures.
- Maintain a professional, safe, and clean environment.
- Comply with all applicable codes, regulations, and company directives.
- Complete all required safety training as scheduled.
- Comply with C&W Uniform Dress Code and maintain a neat appearance.
Requirements
- Minimum of five years of experience in commercial or industrial facility maintenance.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required; associate’s degree or vocational/technical school diploma preferred.
- Appropriate license/permit for trade may be required.
- Must be able to work in a collaborative and safety-conscious environment.
- Demonstrate flexibility, accountability, and a team-first mindset.
- Technical proficiency in troubleshooting HVAC, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
- Professional proficiency in executing maintenance tasks with accuracy and compliance with safety protocols.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize work requests and projects.
- Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

- Shift schedule: M–F (1–9PM)
- May be required to work extended periods without relief during emergencies.
