Overview
Swatch Group is the world's leading manufacturer of finished watches, offering a wide range of products across various price segments. The Watchmaker / Watch Technician will be responsible for the watch repairing process, ensuring high-quality service for all types of watches.
Responsibilities
- Assemble all case components and ensure waterproofness.
- Perform full service on movements including dismantling, fixing broken parts, cleaning, reassembling, and rate checking.
- Analyze and define proper methodology for movement repairs.
- Develop tools or processes to address issues during repairs.
- Coordinate with the team to maintain equipment and order consumables.
- Ensure all customer services are completed and watches are ready to wear.
Requirements
- Watchmaking apprenticeship or Basic Certificate in Watch Repair TAFE course for partial repair.
- Completion of a watchmaking apprenticeship with satisfactory results for complete repair.
- Specialist knowledge of complicated movements or completion of a post-apprenticeship course like WOSTEP for specialist repair.
- Team player with good communication skills.
- Drive for excellence and customer service focus.
- Ability to cope under pressure in a busy environment.
- Enthusiastic and self-motivated.
