Overview

Arcosa Aggregates is seeking a Maintenance Laborer at the Newark Asphalt Plant to support a positive safety culture in an OSHA-regulated aggregate environment. The role involves performing general labor tasks and participating in routine maintenance and cleaning.

Responsibilities

• Actively promote safety awareness and continuous improvement through positive recognition.
• Perform general labor tasks including shoveling, raking, and moving materials as needed.
• Participate in routine maintenance, cleaning, and washing of the facility and equipment.
• Operate small equipment as needed such as a skid steer or manlift.
• Comply with all industry safety rules, policies, procedures, and applicable government regulations.
• Perform daily workplace inspections and report deficiencies immediately to the supervisor.
• Maintain strong communications with other plant employees and operators.
• Perform other duties or responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

• Prompt, regular, and predictable attendance.
• Positive, team-based attitude.
• Ability to stand, stoop, bend, lift, walk, climb stairs, ladders, and catwalks up to 60 feet as required.
• Ability to work in varied outdoor environments (cold, hot, dry, dusty, rainy).
• Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
