Overview

Caterpillar Inc. is seeking a Field Service Representative to join their global team, focusing on installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting equipment at customer locations. The role emphasizes customer service and technical expertise to ensure operational efficiency and satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and troubleshoot equipment at customer locations using tools, parts, and technical diagrams.
• Perform on-site preventive maintenance and inspection service work.
• Conduct call-out services and commissioning activities on turbomachinery and package systems.
• Use test equipment to diagnose and identify malfunctions.
• Refer to schematics and manufacturers' specifications for problem-solving.
• Analyze, repair, or replace faulty parts using hand tools and instruments.
• Check for common causes of trouble and clean and lubricate equipment as needed.
• Perform routine installations and make adjustments to equipment.

Requirements

• Degree or equivalent experience desired.
• Knowledge of customer service concepts and techniques.
• Proactive initiative in job responsibilities and challenges.
• Knowledge of problem-solving approaches and techniques.
• Mechanical maintenance knowledge for power supply and oil and gas.
• Ability to design, implement, and operate automated process controls using PLC.
• Knowledge of troubleshooting techniques in a manufacturing environment.
• Pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) drug screen and physical fitness evaluation.
• Clean driving record with no moving violations within specified timeframes.
• Obtain OGUK certification by a Solar-approved physician.
• Obtain a legal Transportation Worker's Identification Credential.
