Overview

As a Plant Mechanic at Banner Health, you will play a critical role in maintaining and operating facility systems such as boilers, chillers, and generators. This hands-on position involves preventive maintenance, emergency response, and general maintenance tasks to ensure the smooth operation of healthcare facilities.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain power plant and facility utilities equipment and systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance on plant equipment and machinery.
• Maintain logs and document performance of all equipment.
• Respond to general maintenance and emergency calls.
• Assist in operating emergency generator and fire monitoring systems.
• Clean work areas and maintain tools and storage in an orderly manner.
• Drive company vehicles to transport equipment and personnel as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma/GED or equivalent working knowledge with vocational or technical training.
• 1 year of experience as a Plant Mechanic.
• Working knowledge of utility and infrastructure systems in a healthcare environment.
• Current Boiler Operator’s License if required by state.
• Proficient in reading and understanding maintenance and construction documents.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently under general supervision.

Additional Information

• Schedule: Thursday through Monday, 630AM to 3PM.
• Location: Mesa, Arizona.
