Overview

The QA/QC Supervisor at ACCO will lead the QA/QC Project Team, ensuring quality control processes are followed to minimize errors and costs. This role involves active coaching, auditing quality plans, and collaborating with the Project Management Team to enhance project success.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the QA/QC Project Team and set clear expectations.
  • Conduct analysis, inspection, design, test, and integration to assure quality.
  • Perform quality engineering reviews of design documentation for compliance.
  • Apply statistical process control methods for data analysis.
  • Engage with the General Contractor’s Quality Assurance Manager for inspection planning.
  • Provide project quality expectations to new inspectors.
  • Attend weekly project update meetings with the project group.
  • Review purchased products or components and provide input on acceptance.
  • Document data obtained during quality assurance activities.
  • Communicate significant issues and provide recommended process improvements.
  • Prepare reports to communicate quality assurance activities.
  • Maintain knowledge of government and industry quality assurance codes and standards.
  • Develop new approaches to solve problems identified during quality assurance.
  • Prepare and present technical and program information to team members and management.
  • Direct technical and administrative workers engaged in quality assurance activities.

Requirements

  • Associate degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school.
  • 10 years of overall experience and/or training in relevant fields.
  • At least 8 years of experience in Quality Control focused on ASME B31 piping codes.
  • Current certification as a Senior Certified Welding Inspector or Certified Welding Inspector preferred.
  • At least 3 years of experience leading and managing direct reports.
  • Proficient understanding of ASME Section IX BP&V Code.
  • Ability to read, write, and problem solve effectively.
  • Excellent time management and communication skills.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions and percentages.
  • Ability to solve practical problems with limited standardization.

Additional Information

  • Work hours are Monday through Friday, starting between 6:00 am and 7:00 am.
  • Occasional overtime may be necessary due to business needs.
  • Travel based on business needs to various job sites.
