Overview

CMC is a Fortune 500 company that specializes in construction reinforcement and steel products, providing an excellent opportunity for individuals to learn and grow in the steel, construction reinforcement, and ground stabilization industries.

Responsibilities

  • Effectively monitor and inspect equipment for defects.
  • Participate in CMC Safety Programs and uphold the CMC Safety Culture.
  • Perform all facets of repair safely using hand tools, power tools, and precision tools.
  • Create work orders to purchase supplies and parts for repairs.
  • Attend extensive training regarding applicable equipment.
  • Maintain good general housekeeping and keep tools in good working condition.
  • Perform predictive/preventive maintenance on a monthly schedule.
  • Work with other technicians on job orders and troubleshooting.
  • Troubleshoot and perform trailer electric system repairs for brakes and lighting.
  • Repair and maintain shop machinery and mechanical equipment.

Requirements

  • Must be able to work outside under all weather conditions.
  • Proficient in both Stick and Mig welding.
  • Ability to read and understand technical documents, schematics, and service manuals.
  • Mechanically and electrically inclined with experience in both areas.
  • Possess a strong work ethic and practice safe working habits.
  • Ability to follow OSHA, EPA, and all company safety policies.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in a heavy industrial environment.
  • Ability to work as a team player in a fast-paced environment.
  • Possess proficient skills utilizing hand tools, power tools, and precision tools.
  • Ability to work overtime when required.
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds and climb ladders.
  • Valid driver's license with clean MVR.
  • Valid CDL with clean MVR is a plus.
  • Specific knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics is a plus.
