Overview

The Mechanical Assembler position at Hilti involves assembling, inspecting, and delivering quality mechanical solutions using Hilti installation products and modular support systems. The role requires collaboration with other assemblers and the ability to read blueprints and use various tools in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Produce components by assembling parts and subassemblies.
• Read and decipher schematics, blueprints, and assembly instructions.
• Position or align components and parts, either manually or with hoists.
• Use hand tools or machines to assemble parts.
• Conduct quality control checks; test and inspect components for uniformity and quality.
• Clean and maintain work area and equipment, including tools.
• Prepare work by studying parts lists and gathering necessary items.
• Position parts and subassemblies using templates or measurements.
• Assemble components by examining connections for correct fit.
• Verify specifications by measuring complete components.
• Resolve assembly problems by altering dimensions and notifying supervisors.
• Keep equipment operational by completing preventive maintenance.
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures.
• Maintain inventory by checking stock and placing orders.
• Conserve resources by using equipment and supplies as needed.
• Document actions by completing production and quality forms.
• Perform other duties as needed or assigned.

Requirements

• High School diploma/GED required.
• Three to five (3-5) years of manufacturing or assembly line experience required.
• Mechanical and technical skills; experience with modular support systems preferred.
• Focus on quality control and attention to detail.
• Dexterity and hand-eye coordination for assembling small parts.
• Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
• Willingness to perform repetitive tasks while sitting or standing for extended periods.

Additional Information

• Evening shift from 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM with shift differential pay.
