Overview
North Texas Municipal Water District (NTMWD) provides vital wholesale water, wastewater and solid waste management services to more than two million people in North Texas. The Maintenance Worker - Pipeline position is responsible for the maintenance and repair of water and wastewater system pipelines, contributing to the essential services provided by NTMWD.
Responsibilities
- Perform general grounds and facilities maintenance.
- Repair and replace water and sewer lines as needed.
- Provide labor support to all NTMWD systems.
- Observe safe work practices through proper use of safety equipment and procedures.
- Take action to protect structures and equipment under emergency conditions.
- Respond to various emergency situations as directed by supervisor.
- Conduct annual cleaning of water and wastewater basins and flumes.
- Be on a rotational 'ONCALL' status to respond to NTMWD repairs outside of normal business hours.
Requirements
- Requires a valid Texas Driver’s License.
- Must possess a high school diploma or GED.
- Must have the ability to understand directions and perform tasks with direct supervision.
