DAS Aviation is an industry-leading repair organization that values its employees and offers opportunities for personal and professional growth. The Aircraft Structures Technician role involves performing various sheet metal operations and ensuring compliance with FAA guidelines.

Responsibilities

  • Perform basic sheet metal operations such as drilling, riveting, and cutting on airframe components.
  • Apply and remove sealant, sound deadening, and finish materials.
  • Maintain, clean, and repair shop facilities, equipment, and tooling when required.
  • Safely operate shop equipment such as brakes, presses, riveting equipment, shears, and hand tools associated with sheet-metal functions.
  • Navigate electronic training, manuals, and maintenance databases using basic computer skills.
  • Effectively communicate in English, both verbally and in writing.
  • Perform any other job-related duties as assigned by supervisor or management.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Airframe and Powerplant License is not required but welcomed.
  • Valid driver's license approved for airline travel and/or valid passport is ideal but not mandatory.
  • Knowledge of sheet metal or fabrication processes.
  • 0-5 years of experience as a sheet metal technician for Journeyman level.
  • 5+ years of experience as a sheet metal technician for Master level.
  • Self-motivated team player able to perform in a fast-paced environment.
  • Reliable transportation to work.
