Overview

MEI Rigging & Crating is seeking a Heavy Equipment Fleet Mechanic in Coppell, Texas. The company, a leading provider of rigging and machinery moving services since the early 1990s, values integrity, respect, and professionalism, and is committed to investing in its employees.

Responsibilities

• Perform mid-level mechanic work on gas and diesel vehicles.
• Conduct inspections and diagnostic tests to determine vehicle condition.
• Complete preventive maintenance schedules and install component upgrades.
• Repair, adjust, overhaul, and replace vehicle assemblies and components.
• Conduct test drives to verify vehicle performance.
• Maintain vehicle records by annotating services and repairs.
• Troubleshoot breakdowns and maintain shop equipment.
• Evaluate service and parts options to contain costs.
• Manage inventory of supplies and place orders as needed.
• Explore opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.

Requirements

• Minimum ten (10) years proven fleet mechanic experience.
• Construction industry experience preferred.
• Ability to use precision measuring tools and various hand and power tools.
• Rigging experience is a plus.
• Excellent attention to detail and interpersonal skills.
