Overview

UPS is currently hiring a Temporary Buildings and Systems Engineering (BaSE) Mechanic responsible for maintenance activities to keep a UPS package handling facility operating efficiently. The role requires a strong electrical background and involves routine interaction with other hub employees in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, adjust, and replace AC and DC electrical equipment.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and/or replace mechanical components.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and/or replace pneumatic equipment.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and/or replace hydraulic equipment.
• Weld equipment as defined by scope of work.
• Perform preventive maintenance inspections of plant equipment.

Requirements

• Must be a U.S. Citizen or National of the U.S., an alien lawfully admitted for permanent residence, or an alien authorized to work in the U.S.

Additional Information

• Available to work 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift in a 24 x 7 operation.
• Must successfully complete both electrical and mechanical assessments as part of the hiring process.
