Overview
The Hose Assembler cuts, fabricates, and tests hydraulic or industrial hoses based on blueprints and work orders, using various tools. This role requires attention to detail, manual dexterity, and adherence to high safety standards while maintaining inventory and ensuring the quality of hose assemblies.
Responsibilities
- Measure, cut, clean, and mark hoses according to specifications.
- Crimp fittings, couplings, or ends onto hoses using specialized machinery.
- Pressure test finished assemblies to detect leaks and verify crimp diameters.
- Read, interpret, and follow blueprints, work orders, or technical drawings.
- Keep work areas clean and organized following 5S practices.
- Track materials, handle inventory, and prepare finished products for shipping.
Requirements
- Proficiency in using hand tools, cutting tools, and measuring instruments.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift materials up to 35-50 pounds.
- High accuracy in ensuring crimp specs match safety standards.
- Previous experience in industrial manufacturing, plumbing, or automotive parts is preferred.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
