Overview

The Production Worker position on the 2nd Shift at Havis involves sorting parts, staging work in progress, and operating machinery in a manufacturing environment. Havis is a leader in innovative mobility solutions, focusing on enhancing productivity and safety across various industries.

Responsibilities

• Sort parts from work bins from sheet metal processing equipment.
• Stage WIP for Fabrication work areas.
• Identify the next work order and deliver to appropriate personnel.
• Select work orders on the Factory Scheduler, prioritizing expedited orders.
• Ensure all needed parts are requested from inventory and verified with the correct part ID.
• Return parts to their primary location for orders that have been sitting excessively.
• Follow verbal instructions from the Production Supervisor.
• Inspect parts, products, and machinery for defects.
• Process orders as dictated by the production schedule.
• Operate forklift to assist in material movement.
• Fabricate parts using a variety of machines.
• Assist with loading and unloading machinery.
• Execute all material issues/receipts in the ERP system.
• Contribute significantly to the parts cycle counting program.
• Work at different workstations as required.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area.

Requirements

• Must have High School Diploma or equivalent; a technical certification is a plus.
• Mechanically inclined with experience using basic hand tools.
• Ability to understand written and verbal instructions in English.
• Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively.
• Ability to read and interpret work instructions, production documents, and engineering drawings.
• Must possess a strong attention to detail.
• Must be able to tolerate long periods of standing.
• Ability to regularly lift and move up to 50 lbs. and occasionally up to 100 lbs.
• Visual requirements include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to focus.
• Proficient computer skills.
• General knowledge of workplace safety is a plus.
• Experience in operation of forklift and other material handling equipment is a plus.

Additional Information

• Work schedule is 2nd Shift from 3pm to 11pm, Monday to Friday.
