Overview
Superior Tube is seeking a Machine Operator for the 3rd shift to set up, operate, and inspect equipment and materials for precision metal tubing manufacturing. The company is a leader in the tubing industry, serving critical applications in aerospace, defense, nuclear, and medical sectors.
Responsibilities
- Provide recommendations to resolve safety concerns and reduce risks to improve operations.
- Set up, operate, adjust equipment, and lay out material to meet health & safety, quality, and production standards.
- Measure and visually inspect products, applying in-process quality control methods during processing.
- Perform Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) including cleaning tooling and inspecting parts for wear.
- Change tooling, fluids, and media on operated equipment.
- Handle and transport materials and supplies manually to maintain product flow.
Requirements
- 2-3 years of experience in manufacturing, warehousing, or industrial facilities with knowledge of quality processes and safety procedures.
- Experience in metal working operations is a plus.
- Preferred experience with tube drawing, furnaces, tube rollers/reducers, chemical baths, polishing, and metal saws.
- Knowledge of basic hand tools; experience with micrometers or calipers preferred.
- Must operate with professional and ethical integrity.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Must meet essential physical functions of the position.
Additional Information
- This is an on-site position working in a manufacturing facility.
- Work schedule is 12am-8am Monday-Friday.
