The Aerospace TIG/MIG Welding & Assembly Specialist role in Shelby Township, MI, involves translating blueprints into flight-ready assemblies using MIG, TIG, and stick welding methods. The position emphasizes precision, teamwork, and continuous training to ensure safety and performance in aerospace manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Translate technical drawings and specs into accurate part layouts and assemblies.
• Perform fitting and welding on aluminum and stainless steel to aerospace standards.
• Use MIG, TIG, and stick welding to produce consistent, high-strength joints.
• Inspect finished work against specifications; make necessary corrections.
• Partner with engineers and peers to troubleshoot fabrication challenges.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient workstation.
• Pursue ongoing development in aerospace welding techniques.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; welding/fabrication certification preferred.
• Experience as a fitter/welder, preferably in aerospace.
• Knowledge of welding methods and aerospace-grade materials.
• Strong blueprint and technical drawing interpretation skills.
• Attention to detail with a quality-first mindset.
• Ability to solve problems independently and collaborate effectively.

• Schedule options include 10 hour shift, 12 hour shift, day shift, overtime, and weekends as needed.
