Overview

The Fabricator is responsible for creating, designing, and fabricating custom pieces according to client specifications using advanced fabrication and welding techniques. The role requires a strong understanding of safety, quality, and delivery standards while working with various materials and specialized equipment.

Responsibilities

• Own and help improve performance in Safety, Quality, and Delivery.
• MIG and/or TIG weld Carbon Steel, Aluminum, and Stainless Steel to meet quality standards.
• Read engineering prints and follow specifications.
• Perform basic operator preventative maintenance for welding equipment.
• Maneuver in tight spaces and work at heights of 15-20 ft.
• Conduct general grinding, polishing, and finishing jobs.
• Assist in different departments as assigned by the supervisor or team leader.
• Wear approved personal protective equipment.
• Complete assigned duties in accordance with safety policies and practices.
• Mentor Welders and Grinders when needed.

Requirements

• Must have high-level welding capabilities and certifications.
• Ability to read and understand engineering prints and specifications.
• Skilled in custom fabrication of stainless-steel vessels according to prints.
• Ability to read a tape measure and use various layout tools.
• Capable of performing fabrication tasks to a Welder 4 skill level.
• Capable of performing grinding/polishing tasks to a Grinder 2 skill level.
• Strong reading, writing, math, and verbal skills.
