Overview

Responsibilities

• Fully understand and support Xanterra Mission Statement, Core Values, and Cultural Pillar.
• Reads and interprets blueprints, working drawings and sketches, performing accurate math calculations and layout.
• Works in confined spaces and standing for extended periods of time.
• Safely operates machinery and tools, using required safety equipment and PPE.
• Cleans equipment and work area using proper materials and follows environmental policy.
• Follows instructions, responds to management direction, takes responsibilities for own actions and keeps commitments.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Must have the ability to safely weld using stick, MIG, TIG, and demonstrate cutting skills using a torch and plasma cutter.
• Must be willing and able to pass a 3G welding test for qualification and work to achieve a 6G welding qualification within 12 months.
• Possess a valid Arizona Driver’s License and comply with Xanterra/GCR Vehicle Policy.
• Previous 2 years of welding experience in an industrial / railroad setting is a plus.
• Respiratory training is a plus.
• Experience working in a Railroad Mechanical Shop is a plus.

Additional Information

• This is a full-time, year-round position located in Williams, AZ.
• Pay is $27.45 per hour.
• Schedule is 4 days a week, 10 hours a day.
