Overview

The Aluminum Welder plays a crucial role in the manufacturing and fabrication industries by joining metal parts together using various welding techniques, ensuring the structural integrity and quality of the final product.
Responsibilities
- Reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings
- Measuring and cutting metal components
- Welding metal parts
- Inspecting and testing welds
- Maintaining welding equipment
- Complying with all OSHA and safety procedures
Requirements
- AWS (American Welding Society) certification preferred
- Tube and Tank welding experience preferred
- MIG/TIG welding for aluminum
- Able to drive a forklift when necessary
- Ability to read and fabricate products from design or specification documents
- Mechanical skills
- Math skills for accurate measuring and design of products/solutions
- Ability to perform tasks under time pressure deadlines
- Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions
- Internal weld test required
- High School Diploma or equivalent level of training
- Minimum 3-5 years of welding experience, with at least 2 years specializing in aluminum using TIG and MIG methods in a manufacturing setting
- One or more years of experience in general labor
