Overview

Join our team and contribute to the production of high-precision parts while continuing to develop your Welding skills in a supportive and collaborative environment. The Welder is responsible for performing intermediate-level MIG, TIG, and robotic/laser welding on precision sheet metal components with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

  • Perform MIG, TIG, and robotic/laser welding on various materials, including stainless steel and aluminum.
  • Interpret blueprints, job travelers, and weld symbols to ensure correct weld placement and technique.
  • Set up welding machines and robotic weld programs for routine jobs.
  • Operate robotic welding cells and laser welding equipment according to established programs and safety procedures.
  • Assist in part loading, fixture placement, and machine monitoring during weld cycles.
  • Perform basic troubleshooting and identify potential issues in robotic weld paths or joint alignment.
  • Use fixtures or clamps to position parts and ensure proper fit-up.
  • Prep and align components before welding to prevent distortion or warping.
  • Perform in-process inspections and self-checks using basic measuring tools.
  • Identify and repair cosmetic and structural weld defects to meet quality standards.
  • Provide feedback on part fit, fixture design, or weld quality to leads or engineering.
  • Contribute to ongoing improvement in robotic welding consistency and productivity.
  • Wear proper PPE and maintain a safe welding area.
  • Follow safe welding practices and report unsafe conditions immediately.
  • Keep tools and work area clean and organized.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • 3+ years of MIG and TIG welding experience; prior exposure to robotic or laser welding preferred.
  • Experience with thin-gauge materials and tight-tolerance work in a sheet metal environment required.
  • Familiarity with robotic welding operations and basic troubleshooting.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and technical instructions.
  • Strong attention to detail and workmanship.

  • Shift 1: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM, Monday–Friday
  • Shift 2: 2:15 PM – 10:45 PM, Monday–Friday
  • Flexibility may be required based on business needs and workflow demands.
