The TIG Welder position at Component Repair Technologies, Inc. involves applying skills in Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (TIG) for the repair and modification of turbine engine components in the aerospace industry. Responsibilities

• Follow established safety protocols and guidelines.
• Accurately follow written and verbal instructions.
• Complete AWS D17.1 certification and OJT requirements.
• Perform welding, weld prep, and weld finishing operations under supervision.
• Inspect work for completion and quality.
• Perform Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (TIG) and Torch Brazing.
• Use pneumatic hand grinders and powered bench tools.
• Perform local heat treat and local stress relief of weld repair areas.
• Assemble and fit parts such as flanges and tubes.
• Perform non-certified welding for shop maintenance.

Requirements

• Technical high school or equivalent trade school completion in a weld curriculum.
• Successful completion of skill-specific TIG welding courses or a minimum of two years' TIG specific welding experience.
• Previous certification credentials in an AWS welding classification, with AWS D17.1 preference.
• Ability to interpret and follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
