Overview

Allegion is seeking a Finish Welder for their Technical Glass Products facility in Snoqualmie, WA. The role involves set-up, fitting, welding, and finishing preparation of parts and assemblies for TGP’s product lines, contributing to the company's mission of safety and security.

Responsibilities

  • Perform assigned welding techniques with high attention to detail.
  • Coordinate with supervisors for all work.
  • Check material for defects and correct dimensions.
  • Verify all operations have been completed as specified.
  • Report all issues and inconsistencies.
  • Use Non-Conformance Reports (NCR) for non-compliance materials and operations.
  • Initiate corrective actions for NCRs.
  • Expedite orders through welding as required.
  • Operate all equipment per Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) safely.
  • Organize and maintain the areas around the welding area.
  • Improve work flow, work processes, or work procedures as needed.
  • Write Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) as required.
  • Maintain equipment and tools as required.
  • Train additional team members.
  • Perform metal finishing work using manual and power tools.
  • Complete periodic welding and finishing tests to maintain proficiency.
  • Perform multiple operations simultaneously as required.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to internal team members.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience with MIG and/or TIG welding required.
  • Proficiency with MIG, TIG, and thin gauge welding techniques required.
  • Proficiency with sanding and grinding techniques required.
  • Experience in aluminum and/or metal finishing, stainless steel preferred.
  • Technical degree in Welding preferred.
  • Experience working with galvanized material preferred.
  • WABO certification or equivalent preferred.
  • Attention to detail and ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Strong organizational and math skills.
  • Ability to complete tasks in a limited time frame.
  • Ability to remain alert in a high-risk environment.
  • Ability to assess priorities and maintain schedule despite interruptions.

Additional Information

  • Full-time position with a current schedule of Monday - Friday 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM and plans to move to a 4x10 hour schedule in the future.
  • Employee may need to lift and move heavy objects up to 70 pounds and occasionally up to 100 pounds.
