Overview
Join a global steel leader as an Electromechanical Coil Winding Specialist, where your coil rewinding expertise directly supports production and service teams across the mill. This role involves hands-on work with electric motors, generators, and transformers in a challenging industrial environment.
Responsibilities
- Disassemble and remove old or damaged copper windings.
- Rewind coils using insulated copper wire; apply insulation and secure coils properly.
- Solder/weld electrical connections.
- Reassemble equipment and verify correct operation.
- Test motors for proper function, including voltage, resistance, and balance.
- Assist with inspections and routine maintenance on equipment.
- Perform manual labor and lift more than 25 lbs.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Ability to meet rotating 8-hour shift demands, including Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays.
- Willingness to work overtime as needed.
- Punctuality, dependable attendance, and self-direction to support smooth operations.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment digital assessment.
