Overview

Join a global steel leader as an Electromechanical Coil Winding Specialist, where your coil rewinding expertise directly supports production and service teams across the mill. This role involves hands-on work with electric motors, generators, and transformers in a challenging industrial environment.

Responsibilities

  • Disassemble and remove old or damaged copper windings.
  • Rewind coils using insulated copper wire; apply insulation and secure coils properly.
  • Solder/weld electrical connections.
  • Reassemble equipment and verify correct operation.
  • Test motors for proper function, including voltage, resistance, and balance.
  • Assist with inspections and routine maintenance on equipment.
  • Perform manual labor and lift more than 25 lbs.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Ability to meet rotating 8-hour shift demands, including Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays.
  • Willingness to work overtime as needed.
  • Punctuality, dependable attendance, and self-direction to support smooth operations.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment digital assessment.
