Overview

Callaway Golf Company is a premium golf equipment, gear, and apparel company committed to innovation and craftsmanship. They are seeking a Materials Process Engineer to analyze, test, and qualify materials for manufacturing, ensuring the development and validation of manufacturing processes for specific components.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze and qualify materials such as titanium, steel, and composites.
  • Develop and implement manufacturing processes for advanced materials.
  • Complete a qualification plan and analyze results of materials characterization testing.
  • Document test results, lessons learned, and recommendations.
  • Function as the technical lead and liaison between design, R&D, and manufacturing supplier teams.
  • Work closely with suppliers to develop new processes and assess capability.
  • Provide input to R&D on material and process options during the design phase.
  • Characterize and control key material and process parameters for supplier manufacturing capabilities.
  • Develop and maintain process control plans to ensure consistent production quality.
  • Audit supplier performance, refine processes, and confirm capabilities.
  • Drive process improvements to achieve design intent.

Requirements

  • BS in Engineering or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in materials analysis or manufacturing processes.
  • Familiarity with design for manufacturability (DFM) and materials testing methodologies.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
  • Valid passport required.
  • Expertise in materials characterization and testing methods.
  • Experience with advanced manufacturing processes such as investment casting and laser welding.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills with a detail-oriented approach.
  • Proficiency in quality tools and methods, including Six Sigma and statistical analysis.
  • Hands-on mechanical aptitude with experience using testing tools.
  • Skilled in MS Office for reporting and data analysis.
