Overview
Callaway Golf Company is a premium golf equipment, gear, and apparel company committed to innovation and craftsmanship. They are seeking a Materials Process Engineer to analyze, test, and qualify materials for manufacturing, ensuring the development and validation of manufacturing processes for specific components.
Responsibilities
- Analyze and qualify materials such as titanium, steel, and composites.
- Develop and implement manufacturing processes for advanced materials.
- Complete a qualification plan and analyze results of materials characterization testing.
- Document test results, lessons learned, and recommendations.
- Function as the technical lead and liaison between design, R&D, and manufacturing supplier teams.
- Work closely with suppliers to develop new processes and assess capability.
- Provide input to R&D on material and process options during the design phase.
- Characterize and control key material and process parameters for supplier manufacturing capabilities.
- Develop and maintain process control plans to ensure consistent production quality.
- Audit supplier performance, refine processes, and confirm capabilities.
- Drive process improvements to achieve design intent.
Requirements
- BS in Engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in materials analysis or manufacturing processes.
- Familiarity with design for manufacturability (DFM) and materials testing methodologies.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
- Valid passport required.
- Expertise in materials characterization and testing methods.
- Experience with advanced manufacturing processes such as investment casting and laser welding.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills with a detail-oriented approach.
- Proficiency in quality tools and methods, including Six Sigma and statistical analysis.
- Hands-on mechanical aptitude with experience using testing tools.
- Skilled in MS Office for reporting and data analysis.
