Overview

MVP Holdings is a privately owned energy logistics company based in Wichita, KS, providing midstream services to oil and natural gas producers across the United States. They are seeking a Pipeline Technician in Barnhart, TX to maintain and operate crude oil pipelines and associated equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance on pumps and electric motors.
  • Preserve facility appearance and safety through maintenance and housekeeping.
  • Conduct preventative and general maintenance on electronic and mechanical equipment.
  • Assist with the replacement of pumps, motors, valves, and other equipment.
  • Maintain and operate custody transfer measurement facilities and perform product quality control tests.
  • Participate in company, state, and federal training programs and safety meetings.
  • Satisfy operator qualification standards.
  • Utilize precision tools and testing equipment.
  • Respond to operational emergencies according to emergency response procedures.
  • Locate pipelines and oversee excavations and line crossings.
  • Launch and receive cleaning pigs and assist with smart pig operations.
  • Install pipeline markers and inspect the right-of-ways.
  • Maintain and operate corrosion control equipment.
  • Interface professionally with landowners.

Requirements

  • Requires High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Requires a valid Driver’s License.
  • 1+ year(s) of direct oil field experience is preferred.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain certifications for Operator Qualifications and Safety.
  • Strong commitment to job safety and understanding of company policies.
  • Demonstrate mechanical aptitude and dexterity with tools.
  • Ability to read and interpret alignment sheets, schematics, and P&IDs.
  • Proficient in written and verbal English communication.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Basic computer skills, including spreadsheet and word processing applications.
  • Internally motivated and organized with time management skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to evaluate complex situations.

Additional Information

  • Position located in Barnhart, TX.
  • 5% travel required.
  • Ability to respond to emergency situations after hours.
