Overview
General Atomics Systems Integration, LLC (GA-SI) is a provider of military and commercial engineering services, specializing in systems integration technologies. The Airframe & Powerplant Manager oversees the maintenance, modification, troubleshooting, overhaul, and repair of airframe and powerplant systems on remotely piloted air vehicles.
Responsibilities
- Provides guidance to subordinates based on organizational goals and company policy.
- Supervises and trains subordinates who provide mechanical support and troubleshooting for air vehicles.
- Monitors and schedules testing and inspection at the system level to ensure flight safety.
- Acts as the primary interface with other departments to ensure production delivery and flight test schedules are met.
- Coordinates activities with engineering, manufacturing, and quality departments to ensure proper configurations.
- Ensures efficient support of Company and customer schedules through deployments of personnel.
- Develops and maintains appropriate procedures for training and flight line operations.
- Seeks methods to improve product quality, reliability, and efficiency.
- Ensures accurate time charging and inspects work in progress and finished products.
- Manages and participates in the planning, attraction, selection, retention, and development of human resources.
- Observes all laws, regulations, and other applicable obligations while conducting business.
- Leads the workplace in a safe manner in accordance with established operating procedures.
Requirements
- Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in a related technical field and six or more years of progressive professional experience in manufacturing.
- Must demonstrate a detailed understanding of manufacturing processes and procedures.
- Must be customer-focused and possess the ability to identify issues and develop solutions.
- Strong analytical, verbal, and written communication skills are required.
- Strong interpersonal skills to influence and guide all levels of employees.
- Ability to maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information.
