Overview
General Atomics Systems Integration, LLC (GA-SI) is a provider of military and commercial engineering services, specializing in systems integration technologies. The Avionics Supervisor is responsible for overseeing avionics manufacturing and field support operations, ensuring compliance with safety, budget, and technical requirements.
Responsibilities
- Supervises day-to-day activities of avionics personnel, including planning, scheduling, training, supervision, and work assignments.
- Coordinates and monitors avionics operations to achieve business, safety, quality, schedule, and cost objectives.
- Plans and coordinates maintenance, modification, troubleshooting, overhaul, and repair activities for various systems.
- Ensures all work is accomplished safely and in accordance with established procedures and regulatory requirements.
- Provides technical and operational support for UAV electronic equipment and associated ground systems.
- Conducts technical analysis to ensure customer specifications and end-user requirements are met.
- Performs and oversees advanced troubleshooting and repair of electronic equipment.
- Conducts inspections and preventative maintenance on ground and airborne systems.
- Develops and implements methods to improve product quality, reliability, and efficiency.
- Analyzes customer requirements and evaluates product implementation to meet specifications.
- Participates in the planning, selection, retention, and development of avionics personnel.
- Coordinates and monitors the schedule and technical efforts of avionics technicians off-site.
Requirements
- Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in a related technical field and nine or more years of experience.
- Must demonstrate a strong technical understanding of avionics principles and practices.
- Must have proven project management and leadership skills.
- Must have the ability to identify issues, analyze data, and develop innovative solutions.
- Strong analytical, verbal, and written communication skills are required.
Additional Information
- May be required to work extended hours and travel (CONUS/OCONUS) as needed.
