Overview

The Operations Labor position involves various tasks related to material handling, maintenance, and housekeeping to ensure a safe and organized work environment. The role requires physical labor and attention to detail in managing materials and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Unload pallets, boxes, and bundles.
• Handle and sort materials by pushing, pulling, picking, lifting, carrying, and filling up hoppers, boxes, and conveyor belts.
• Unpack boxes using box cutters and separate packaging materials.
• Disassemble small equipment, cut wires, torque pipe fittings, and remove bolts and parts.
• Work with recycling equipment for processing metal products.
• Direct traffic of yard vehicles traveling through the yard.
• Perform light facility maintenance including painting and moving furniture.
• Select and use tools properly for machinery maintenance and repair.
• Maintain cleanliness by sweeping, cleaning, shoveling, and collecting debris.
• Conduct moderate and periodic landscaping work.
• Clean up the work area at the end of the shift.
• Keep work areas neat and orderly.
• Ensure regular attendance and punctuality.
• Organize materials for effective use of space.
• Dispose of waste materials appropriately.
• Inspect to ensure cleanup is completed.
• Maintain effective housekeeping for safety and hygiene.
