Overview

All American Chrysler Jeep Dodge of San Angelo TX is seeking a specialized automotive transmission technician who is capable of diagnosing and repairing vehicle transmissions to manufacturer specifications. The role involves removing, disassembling, cleaning, repairing, and reassembling transmissions while ensuring compliance with technical standards.

Responsibilities

• Utilizing diagnostic tools to identify transmission issues and performing road tests.
• Disassembling transmissions, inspecting components for wear, cleaning parts, and reassembling with new seals and gaskets.
• Removing transmissions from vehicles and re-installing the rebuilt units.
• Reviewing manufacturer specifications and technical manuals to ensure accuracy.
• Maintaining a clean and organized workstation and managing inventory of parts.

Requirements

• Thorough understanding of automatic and manual transmission systems.
• Must have minimum tools and toolbox required for repairs.
• Manufacture or ASE certification required within 90 days from start date.
• 3 to 5 years of transmission diagnostic, rebuild, and replacement experience preferred.
• Acceptable driving record and a valid driver's license in your state of residence.
