Overview
Linetec Services is a growing leader in the electric infrastructure industry, offering competitive pay, paid training, and opportunities for advancement. The Safety & Quality Training Instructor will act as the Subject Matter Expert for technical skills training and evaluation, collaborating to improve the internal apprenticeship program.
Responsibilities
- Conduct field observations, evaluations, and interviews to assess new hire skills and knowledge transfer.
- Conduct supplemental electrical transmission and distribution construction technical skills training.
- Schedule training and evaluations to maintain compliance and apprenticeship advancement.
- Collaborate with operations to organize efficient training and evaluation schedules.
- May conduct other relevant safety and regulatory training as needed.
- Collaborate with the safety manager on training plan creation and execution.
- Maintain training records and documentation in the required format.
- Design new training modules and improve existing ones as needed.
- Develop materials and skills training upon request.
- Assist in event investigations and policy development as a Subject Matter Expert.
- Perform other duties as requested by leadership.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required; degree or professional accreditation preferred.
- Minimum 10 years of electric transmission and/or distribution construction experience required.
- Prior training experience required.
- OSHA Authorized Trainer, FA/CPR/AED, and/or other safety training certifications preferred.
- Ability to work flexible hours and travel for overnight stays.
- Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and mobile applications.
- Excellent computer and organizational skills.
- Bilingual a plus.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to build and foster collaborative relationships.
- Ability to anticipate implications and take appropriate action.
- Demonstrates concern for satisfying internal and external customers.

- Work is performed in a 50% office and 50% field environment.
- Flexibility to work various schedules and stay late with little notice.
