Responsibilities

• Plans details of work order procedures and gathers required tools and materials.
• Interprets blueprints to identify weld symbols.
• Repairs components by welding pieces and filling gaps.
• Ensures work is done safely and meets quality standards.
• Maintains, organizes, and cleans equipment and the work area.
• Notifies supervisor when faulty equipment or defective materials are discovered.
• Performs other job duties as assigned by management.
• Must follow all safety rules and PPE requirements.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of welding experience.
• Thorough understanding of welding equipment and hand tools used in welding.
• Basic understanding of design techniques, principles, and tools for producing technical plans.
• Excellent ability to read and listen to assignments in various forms.
• Basic understanding of mathematics as related to welding assignments.
• Ability to weld components that are vertical, flat, or overhead.
• Manual dexterity and stability for precision work.
• Ability to see details at close range.
