Overview

Lenco Armored Vehicles is a U.S.-based manufacturer of specialized armored vehicles used by law enforcement, military, fire, and rescue agencies worldwide. The Automotive Welder / Fabricator role focuses on transforming commercial vehicle chassis into armored tactical platforms through cutting, welding, and structural reinforcement.

Responsibilities

  • Add and remove components to prepare the chassis for body installation.
  • Weld components and parts to ensure modifications meet specifications.
  • Install structural reinforcements and mounting brackets for armored plating.
  • Ensure all upgrades align with engineering prints and safety standards.
  • Remove OEM suspension components to install upgraded suspension.

Requirements

  • Background in automotive and fabrication fields.
  • Proficiency with mechanic tools and MIG welding.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints.
  • Experience working in a heavy-duty automotive or truck shop environment.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
