Overview

American Bin and Conveyor is a leader in bulk material handling equipment, specializing in manufacturing conveyors, elevators, and structures for various industries. They are currently seeking experienced Welder/Fitters for their Burlington, WI manufacturing shop, where the role involves welding, fitting, and fabricating metal components based on blueprints and measurements.

Responsibilities

• Use measuring devices to assist in layout and fit of steel to be welded.
• Weld pieces together in flat, vertical or overhead positions according to documented print.
• Grind burrs and sharp edges using hand grinders.
• Examine completed work pieces for defects such as deformed edges and marred surfaces.
• Initiate and maintain good housekeeping practices in all work areas.
• Comply with all company safety policies and procedures and practice safe work habits.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years' welding experience preferred.
• 2 years' fitting experience preferred.
• Ability to read prints and use measuring tools.
• Ability to inspect fabricated parts before welding.
• Agree to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as required by the company.
• Successfully pass pre-employment background check, drug screen, and physical.
