Overview
The Welder Equipment Repair role involves preventative and corrective maintenance, installation, diagnostics, and repair of welding and robotic equipment, utilizing various technical skills to support manufacturing operations.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on welding and robotic equipment.
- Set up, test, and maintain equipment used in production welding operations.
- Utilize skills in pneumatic design, hydraulic design, electrical circuits, and controls hardware.
- Program robots and manage device communication networks.
- Perform incidental tasks as required to complete larger tasks.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Ability to work any shift and some overtime, including weekends and holidays.
- Completion of Apprenticeship Certificate as a Welder Equipment Repair or 4 years of experience and training.
- Experience as Welder Equipment Repair in a manufacturing or automation environment.
- Experience with mechanical and electrical equipment.
- Ability to work from blueprints, drawings, and layouts.
- Controls experience supporting manufacturing operations.
- Capable of using instrumentation for diagnostics of electro-mechanical functions.
- Experience in preventative maintenance of robotic equipment or machines.
