Overview

The Welder Equipment Repair role involves preventative and corrective maintenance, installation, diagnostics, and repair of welding and robotic equipment, utilizing various technical skills to support manufacturing operations.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on welding and robotic equipment.
  • Set up, test, and maintain equipment used in production welding operations.
  • Utilize skills in pneumatic design, hydraulic design, electrical circuits, and controls hardware.
  • Program robots and manage device communication networks.
  • Perform incidental tasks as required to complete larger tasks.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (GED).
  • Ability to work any shift and some overtime, including weekends and holidays.
  • Completion of Apprenticeship Certificate as a Welder Equipment Repair or 4 years of experience and training.
  • Experience as Welder Equipment Repair in a manufacturing or automation environment.
  • Experience with mechanical and electrical equipment.
  • Ability to work from blueprints, drawings, and layouts.
  • Controls experience supporting manufacturing operations.
  • Capable of using instrumentation for diagnostics of electro-mechanical functions.
  • Experience in preventative maintenance of robotic equipment or machines.
