Overview

Carolina Spiral & Duct Fabrication, LLC is seeking a Shop Fabricator to support their growth. This role offers an opportunity for experienced professionals to contribute innovative ideas and collaborate with a dedicated team in a culture of respect and empowerment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with general work activities per the direction of the shop Supervisor.
• Support the mechanic, foremen, and superintendent to complete projects in a timely manner.
• Provide quality and productive work without constant reminders.
• Communicate with management and superintendent.
• Review detailed drawings to determine cut lists before fabricating duct.
• Cut and build ductwork according to orders using metal layout and fabrication equipment.
• Ensure each job order is accurate and complete.
• Operate a computer to enter data for burning jobs on the cutting machine.
• Use the Vicon machine to fabricate duct.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Company.

Requirements

• Must be able to work a flexible schedule including days and some weekends.
• Present yourself in a professional manner.
• Ability to work with a variety of tools and follow directions.
• Must be able to read and write.
• Knowledge of hand tools such as wrenches, pliers, hammers, and tape measures.
• Experience with shop equipment including metal breaks and shears.
• Forklift operation experience preferred.
• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Must pass a background check and drug test.
• Knowledge of HVAC or construction preferred.
• CAD knowledge preferred.

Additional Information

• Exposure to weather, extreme temperatures, high noise levels, and hazardous conditions.
• Frequent lifting up to 50 lbs and constant lifting to 25 lbs.
